Types of Chemical Peel

A chemical peel involves applying a chemical solution to the face or body to remove surface layers of skin. Chemical peels can transform your skin, providing younger, healthier-looking skin in just a few days.  This non-invasive modality typically involves 2-7 days of visible peeling.

If you’ve had a chemical peel before, you may have had to select between a superficial peel, a medium-depth peel, and a deep peel. Each peel varies in solutions and ingredients, but peels are typically categorized into 3 main types.

SUPERFICIAL PEELS

Superficial peels don’t require much downtime as they only exfoliate the top layer of skin. Many superficial peels are safe enough to self-administer at home. Because it is such a mild treatment, this peel must be repeated several times in order to begin to see results.

MEDIUM-DEPTH PEELS

Medium-depth peels are popular today because results can be achieved rather quickly. The treatment is applied by a medical professional. The peeling process typically lasts a few days. If you’re seeking visible results with 1-3 treatments over time, a medium-depth peel could be your best bet. Medium-depth peels tend to tackle common skin issues such as reducing fine lines and wrinkles, reducing hyperpigmentation, sun spots, and freckles, and controlling acne while improving the appearance of acne scars.

DEEP PEELS

Deep peels can remove damaged skin cells from deeper levels of skin and can dramatically reduce the appearance of skin flaws such as wrinkles and acne scarring. However, deep peels typically can only be performed once and tend to be much stronger and more painful. The patient must be prepared for weeks of downtime and often must prep the skin for weeks or months prior to treatment. Deeper peels are normally only used on the face and not on body areas.

BioRePeelCl3 Blue

The original BioRePeel was created in Italy and has since gained recognition as a superb peel for treating a variety of skin issues, including acne, Rosacea, uneven texture, and tone, fine lines and wrinkles, and Melasma/pigmentation.

BioPeel is an innovative, biphasic, patented formulation with an antioxidant, with revitalizing and peeling action. BioRePeelCl3® promotes an exfoliating action on dead cells that amplifies the antioxidant and moisturizing effects of amino acids, vitamins, and GABA. The action of amino acids, vitamins, and GABA is also assisted by the lipophilic phase thanks to its filming and moisturizing action. The synergy of the individual components of this peel sheds dead skin cells, exfoliates the skin’s surface, and reveals a more youthful-looking appearance. This peel can be used with other treatments to improve its performance and results.

BioRePeelCl3 Blue is designed for the face, neck, and décolleté. This treatment will improve the skin surface, and imperfections, and accelerate cell turnover. Stimulating the reconstruction of collagen and elastin deep within the skin layer, results can be seen instantly and continue to improve over the following weeks.

Depending on your individual needs and desired skin goals, our practitioner will advise during your initial consultation how many treatments it will take to see your desired results. The general recommendation is 4-6 sessions, depending on the severity of skin condition and concern. The treatments are scheduled 7 to 10 days apart.

What sets BioRePeel apart is its remarkable versatility, allowing individuals to benefit from its use all year round, eliminating the need for a specific peel season.
